hmmmmmm
wow. i just realized that i haven't written any post for quite a long time, hehehe.
errrm, and i dont know how to start :P
well, life has been going so interesting lately... i am now having my industrial training at F&N Dairies, i met new people, new friends, new environment, and oh! i've turned 21. once again, 21. gosh, i'm in the beginning of my twenties and it makes me feel... old :(
however, i feel like the most interesting things happened when i was 20... yes, during that year...
20 is my year of transformation... when i changed myself little by little.. resulting in who i am today.
and yes, i can see that i've changed.
one example, maybe you guys know me as that studyholic girl. a nerd. a bookworm.
but will a studyholic go to have fun with her friends to putrajaya wetland and be there for the whole day when she knows that she's going to have an exam on the next morning?
yes, i did that.
well, that's just an open-book exam, but usually i NEVER went anywhere on the day before my exam. i would stick to my book and be in my room for the whole day, and yes that also happened everytime im going to have my open book exam. i dont know, but there was something encouraging me to go at that time.. and until now i didnt regret that. i had fun and thank God i managed to answer all the questions in my exam very well on the next morning. started from that day, i decided that i have to listen to what my heart and my head say AFTER THEY'RE SYNCHRONIZED. what i mean by synchronized here is, when both my head and my heart say 'yes', then i just go for it, but once either one of them says no, i'll just forget about it.
second example, i became more open to my surroundings. i wasn't close with my classmates for the first three semesters. i decided to concentrate more to my studies and i didnt give a damn to friendship thingy. i only got close to my indonesian friends because i DIDNT WANT TO GET OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE. yes, i was soo shallow-minded at that time.
but then, during my fourth semester, i tried to open myself more to my coursemates. and you know what, the things that i was afraid of didnt happen. i was afraid that we couldnt get along, i was afraid that they wouldnt accept me for whoever i am, et cetera, but the reality showed me the opposite of all my negative thoughts. they were so friendly to me, i could get along with them very well, they accepted me for whoever i am, and the most important things is they are just as crazy as i am :)) that also happened to my industrial training friends. my friends from UPM who are accepted to work at F&N Dairies were not the ones who were close to me, and i was worried whether i could get along with them. now, see, i got along with them really well. they're friendly and i had sooo much fun with them. i know im gonna miss the moments that we had together when im finished later.
this thing taught me that i have to ignore all of my negative thoughts and feelings before i start to do anything. well, i am still not able to do it perfectly until now. sometimes i still listen to my negative feelings, and that affects, of course. however, im trying my best so far and i think im getting better in doing it :)
third example, i started my first relationship and ended it when i was 20. i didnt regret it to happen, and i didnt regret it to end. i learned a lot from my last relationship. i learned that falling in love is completely different from having a relationship. when you listen to some songs and they said that love is enough, trust me, dont believe that, because it's not enough. relationship requires more than just love, and it changed my perspective on relationship - and love, of course. my closest dearies said that they could see it from the way i told them about my opinion on love and relationship when they asked me. and one thing that made me surprised is i found out that 'me in a relationship' is different from 'me when im not in a relationship'. i changed when i started my relationship, and i changed back to the old me when i broke up. i was also quite surprised knowing that i could be that kind of person. however, i still couldnt decide whether it was me in a relationship, or it was me ONLY in my past relationship, which means that there's always a possibility for me to change on my next relationship, and i still dont know how i will change into :) i thought being in a relationship is easy and i was all ready for it, but what happened was i wasnt ready for it at that time, and i still dont know when im gonna be ready for it :) and now i decide to go with the flow and see how it goes. well, we never know, rite? :)
hmmm, i guess this is enough. hopefully you can get something from my post, eventhough i did it only to shoo my boredom in doing my practical report :) have a good day, fellas! ciao!

best of the best.... of 2009 :D
started from this post last year, i decided to make a post about 'best of the best of the year' for me every december. however, there are some new categories this year, but i don't put back some categories from last year here. well, enjoy! :)
best tv series
THE BIG BANG THEORY

yes, the winner for tv series of the year is the big bang theory, a story about the life of four genius nerds (Sheldon, Leonard, Raj, and Howard) and their friendship with a normal beautiful chick named Penny. the first reason why i picked this series is: because i am one of them. yes, i am a geek. a nerd. whatever you call it. well, of course my IQ is not as high as sheldon's or leonard's (their IQ score when combined is 360! what the heck!), but their life is pretty much like mine, hehehe. the second reason is because the story can be frikkin funny without humiliating geeks. before i watched the big bang theory, what i always saw in movies or series was that nerds were described as people bringing thick books anywhere they go, speaking and acting awkwardly, wearing suppathick glasses and neat plead shirt. nerds are described very differently in this series. they wear colorful tshirts, jeans, they even go grocery shopping! people know they are geniuses from the way they talk, their attitude, and how they interact with 'normal' people. eventhough all of them are nerds, they are still human and of course they have different personalities. Leonard is the 'almost-normal' one. Raj cannot talk to women, while Howard is the 'playboy' in the gang. Sheldon, my favorite, has his own unique character with a combination of a germaphobe, a person with obsessive-compulsive disorder, and someone who speaks without thinking first. trust me, if you haven't watched this series, i can guarantee that you will love it, especially if you love watching FRIENDS because this is just like the nerd version of FRIENDS.

AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 8

i always love american idol because it just gets better every season, and the very last season of this show proved that it's the best season so far. the addition of kara dioguardi as one of the judges also gave extra 'heat' to the show since she's never afraid to speak what's in her mind and unlike paula, she didnt always tell the contestants and audiences the 'sweet things'. the contestants were also damn excellent and the top 5 were exactly like what i expected (kris allen, adam lambert, danny gokey, allison iraheta, and matt giraud). eventhough kris allen became the winner, adam lambert is the true american idol for me, hehehe (well, it can be seen from the copies sold in the billboard chart tho, hehehe). i just can't wait to watch the next season and see what ellen degeneres will do on the hot seats of the judges! :)
best movie
UP

is there any of you who haven't watched this movie yet? if you haven't, go watch it, like NOW, because this is very highly recommended to those who love stories about true love, having a dream, struggling to make it comes true, friendship, and meaning of a family mixed with a sprinkle of humour. Up told a story about an old man who wanted to make the dream of his former wife to have a house on the top of Paradise Falls, South America, came true by tying thousands of balloons (if you wonder how he got thousands of balloons, well, he sold them!) to his house and FLYING the house (yes, by making it FLY!) accross the country to South America. however, the story would go dull if he didn't have Russell, Kevin, and a talking dog with him all the way to Paradise Falls. who are they? find out by watching the movie then! :)
best book
MARYAMAH KARPOV by ANDREA HIRATA

i didn't read so many books this year, but at least i'm thankful i have read the best (well, that's what people said). andrea hirata's brilliance already could be seen from his three previous books, which are 'laskar pelangi', 'sang pemimpi', and 'edensor'. his first two books were already filmed, and the results were equally brilliant. as the finale of laskar pelangi tetralogy, this book had been awaited by all indonesian book lovers. of course people wanted to know the end of ikal's journey. what happened after he came back from france? would he find a ling, his childhood sweetheart and his forever love? would he be able to reach all his dreams? all of those questions were answered by this book. for those who want to read this book but haven't read the three previous books, unfortunately you have to start from the very beginning to understand this book. however, it is very worthed to read all the four books because all of them are very mesmerizing, and i guarantee that you will be amazed by the way andrea hirata wrote the whole story.

TAYLOR SWIFT - TEARDROPS ON MY GUITAR

i love almost all songs by taylor swift, but i love this song the most. the story behind the song is just EXACTLY like mine, resulting in this track staying like forever in my playlist, hahaha. the tune is also kinda catchy and it makes me love the song even more. the video describes what the song means very well too, and she acted really good in that video as the girl who got an unrequited love. you can watch the video here and yes, the guy in that video is tyler hilton :)
best album
ADAM LAMBERT - FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT

once he became the runner up of american idol last season, i was thinking, how would his album be? he was good singing rock, pop, ballad, even songs with autotunes. he could make these songs still sounded good when he sang it with his high-pitched rockin' voice. then when i heard the music throughout this album, i directly knew the genre of his music : adam lambert's. yes, he made his own genre of music. it's because when you listen to this album, just like when you listen to lady gaga's, you will directly recognize that it's his song, his music, but it's kinda difficult to categorize his genre of music, so i think it's possible for him to have his own genre of music, isn't it? hehehe. however, this album is highly recommended to those who love music and it is very suitable to listeners of all genres of music. oh, and my favorite tracks are 'Whataya Want From Me', 'Aftermath', 'Pick U Up', 'Music Again', and 'For Your Entertainment'.
best videoclip
PLAIN WHITE T'S - 1,2,3,4

this videoclip proves that a beautiful video doesn't have to involve any computerized visual effects, bright colors, or amazing outfits. this video is actually very simple with Tom Higgenson, the vocalist of Plain White T's, singing on the streets of Chicago with his guitar, in black-and-white colors, and wearing daily clothes. what makes this video special is the story of the people (most of them are couples, but bestfriends, girlie gangs, families, even dogs and their owners are included) who watched him singing, the story of when and how they met. finally, the video ended at night, as Tom put his guitar back in its case, met his girlfriend, Angie, and it was stated that the song was dedicated to her. this is a very (or should i say ultra?) low budget video, however it is the sweetest video i have ever seen, and it does give a tingling sensation down in me everytime i watch this video, eventhough i watch it over and over. the music and lyrics of this song are also simple yet beautiful, just like the video :) anyway, you can watch the video here

JEJAMURAN

this restaurant is a bit far from the city, since it is located in Niron village, Sleman. however, it is very worth it to go such distance to have your lunch or dinner here, especially for those who love mushrooms, are vegetarians, and the ones who want to try something new for their culinary knowledge. by looking at the menu, you can directly recognize that mushroom is very flexible. you can have it as mushroom soup, mushroom satay (like the one pictured above), fried mushroom, or even mushroom rendang, and all of them are heavenly delicious for me, since i am such a mushroom lover. FYI, mushroom is very good for your bod since it is high in dietary fiber, vitamin D, and it enhances your immune system. so, why don't you have one plate of it in your menu today? :)

one night in KLIA :D
hahaha, yea i know maybe you have a thought of "was she too excited to go home or what?" well, yes i was really excited to go home, but i wasnt that excited until i decided to stay up in the airport alone, all by myself. my cousin usually takes me to the airport everytime am going home, but unfortunately she was going back to jakarta at that time, while her husband was going back to johor, his hometown, therefore i had to go to the airport alone. actually i could go there by cab, but my flight was in the morning (at 9.00 am, 17th november 2009) and i had to be in the airport at 7.00 am, which means i had to be ready at 6.00 am since it takes around 1 hour to go to the airport from my house. to be honest, since am not really used to going anywhere by cab, i was quite afraid to go to the airport by cab early in the morning, and most of my friends didnt suggest me to do so. yes, that's the story why i ended up staying up in the airport for the whole night, hehehe.
i arrived in the airport at around 9.00pm and i directly went to KFC for dinner. unfortunately am a kinda person who's fast in eating, so i didnt spend too much time at KFC. then i sat on one seat available near viewing area and turned on my laptop to get online. so sorry to say, the internet in KLIA is veeeerrrryyyyy slow and i was quite pissed since i couldnt access facebook properly, so i just relied on my twitter (spamming my followers' timeline, hehehe, sorry guys) to keep myself awake. it was quite disappointing because some of my friends wanted to accompany me and make sure am awake by chatting in facebook chatroom. another problem came when i realized that i almost ran out of battery and i didnt find any plug there, so i decided to turn off my laptop and sit there for a while. i listened to mp3 and drank this coffee

actually i prepared two cans of coffee from two different brands, but i drank this one first because i thought this one was milder than the other one and it was around 11 pm so i wasnt that sleepy at that time. after i finished the coffee, i went around KLIA to find plug in cafes and restaurants around there, especially the ones which open for 24 hours. luckily, i found two hidden plugs at McD behind their ice cream booth that i could use for charging my laptop and my cellphone after asking one of the cashiers there. these plugs definitely saved me from my boredom, hahaha. i also bought one glass of hot milo and one piece of hot apple pie, since it was qute freezing there and i needed something to keep myself warm.
soo i continued browsing and spamming my followers' timeline in twitter. i also accessed facebook but i had to refresh the page many times in order to make it work properly.
theeen suddenly i couldnt connect to the internet again. i asked one of McD workers in the ice cream booth and she said everyone only has two-hour quota for connecting to the internet in one day and it will only be renewed on the next day. dammit. and it was still 1 am. i still have 4 hours before check-in time. thank God i still have some movies in my harddisk and i had my headphone with me so i decided to watch 17 Again, listen to some musics, and watch some music videos until around 4 am and i had to turn off my laptop because i wanted to pee, hahaha. after going back from the toilet, i sat on the seat near viewing area again because i didnt want to buy anything more from McD (since i already went out from McD, of course i have to buy something if i want to sit there, rite?) and it was already around 4 am which means i can check in in around 1 hour. i felt a bit sleepy, maybe because of the hot milo i drank before, then i opened the other can of coffee

i looked around and saw some people sleeping on the seats around me. some of these people, i think, were backpackers, while the others were, i think again, non-backpackers like me. it could be seen from their luggage, hehehe.

it was only me awake around there while some security guards were going around. it was quite weird being in the airport without a lot of people rushing and hurrying or families sending their relatives. i usually hear tears and laughters from every corner, and at that time i just felt.... silence everywhere. i guess am still not used to seeing KLIA this empty, teehee~

i also took a picture of me at around 4.30am, and i hadnt slept at all at that time. i didnt sleep at all for the whole night until before my flight, hehehe. do i look sleepy to you, blogwalkers? teehee~

and you know what, i found one coin-activated computer near the toilet, so i used it to update my status in twitter and facebook, hehehe. you may roll your eyes, but this is the first time for me using this kinda computer eventhough i had been in KLIA for several times. i used it for around several minutes, and i spent around 50cents, hahaha. sorry i forgot to take the pic, hehew.
around 5am, i checked in the counter and continued to the immigration section before waiting for my flight. stupidly, after i passed the immigration section, i felt my tummy rumbling and i realized that i hadnt had my breakfast yet. unfortunately, food sold after immigration section are expensive chocolates and of course i couldnt spend like RM 100 just for my breakfast rite, hahaha. thank God, eventhough my tummy was rumbling like crazy, my brain still worked properly and i remembered that i still had four packs of these crunchy biscuits in my backpack. yeay!

of course these biscuits were enough to save me from my hunger attack, hahaha. and luckily, i also found a lot of plugs in the waiting room so i could connect to the internet again (since its already the next day, it was around 7 am) and charged my cellphone again since i used it for listening to the music and it kinda ran out of battery. so i browsed the internet until around 8.30 am, just right before my flight.
yes, that's my story of spending one sleepless night in the airport. it was quite boring and i dont know what i will do if i dont have my laptop with me, but it was a good experience tho. :)
i arrived in the airport at around 9.00pm and i directly went to KFC for dinner. unfortunately am a kinda person who's fast in eating, so i didnt spend too much time at KFC. then i sat on one seat available near viewing area and turned on my laptop to get online. so sorry to say, the internet in KLIA is veeeerrrryyyyy slow and i was quite pissed since i couldnt access facebook properly, so i just relied on my twitter (spamming my followers' timeline, hehehe, sorry guys) to keep myself awake. it was quite disappointing because some of my friends wanted to accompany me and make sure am awake by chatting in facebook chatroom. another problem came when i realized that i almost ran out of battery and i didnt find any plug there, so i decided to turn off my laptop and sit there for a while. i listened to mp3 and drank this coffee
actually i prepared two cans of coffee from two different brands, but i drank this one first because i thought this one was milder than the other one and it was around 11 pm so i wasnt that sleepy at that time. after i finished the coffee, i went around KLIA to find plug in cafes and restaurants around there, especially the ones which open for 24 hours. luckily, i found two hidden plugs at McD behind their ice cream booth that i could use for charging my laptop and my cellphone after asking one of the cashiers there. these plugs definitely saved me from my boredom, hahaha. i also bought one glass of hot milo and one piece of hot apple pie, since it was qute freezing there and i needed something to keep myself warm.
soo i continued browsing and spamming my followers' timeline in twitter. i also accessed facebook but i had to refresh the page many times in order to make it work properly.

v.a.c.a.t.i.o.n!!
firstly i wanna thank sri for planning such a great great GREAT vacation for all of us! hehehe~
well, last tuesday or 10th november 2009, the owner of this blog and her other 13 friends were having a whole day vacation. since am too lazy to write anything but too excited to tell you all about this vacation, i think putting these pictures and adding some explanations below each pic will be a great solution, teehee~
okaaayy soo we started the day by going to wetland putrajaya... and of course we did some water activities there *d'oh!*
afrah and i chose kayaking while the others picked boat rowing. yess, i knew that doing kayaking means that we have greater chance to get wet and also greater chance for the kayak to be upside-down, but i still wanted to do it because i found it more challenging, hehee~
i screamed many times while kayaking because we ALMOST got upside-down, and we were frustrated because the kayak kept turning around and around and it was hard to make it go straight, hahaha.

here come the water warriors! teehee~

this is the view of wetland, putrajaya... and some of my friends who were rowing ^^

kayaking with afrah ^^ for those who havent tried this one, YOU SHOULD TRY! this is challenging and fun at the same time, perfect for your adrenaline rush! :D
sooo after we finished one hour of our water activities, we went to alamanda putrajaya for lunch before going to.... bagan lalang beach! yesss ppl, we were going to the beach! hahaha, so excited. and it was like a dream comes true because actually i wanted to have a vacation to the beach with these guys, but i just didnt say it to them, teehee~
we reached the beach before sunset and the view of the sunset was just breathtaking! well, i'll just put the pics here, hehehe~

the view at around 5-6 pm after raining ^^

yess, we are the beach explorers, hahaha

i DO love this picture! heart you all, girls! <3 data-blogger-escaped-span="span">

owyea, we had this high-school-musical-signature jump, hahaha~

gosh, how i love this scenery so damn much

me and my name on the sand :)

see the breathtaking sunset behind me?? isnt it just beautiful???
and we ended the day by having suppa-delicious seafood for dinner. we had grilled rayfish, calamari, 'pepahat', clams, crab, and many other kinds of seafood... and how much did we spend? only RM196 for 14 hungry people who were full after finishing all of these seafood. isnt it cheap??? i definitely love that place, hahaha.
goshh, the trip was just amazing! and i was quite sad because am not gonna meet these guys for around 8 months due to my industrial training at F&N Dairies during next semester... i will miss them all for sure, hehehe~
ps : i already finished all my final exams! jump for joy! hehehe~ and am gonna go back home on 17th of november until 27th of december. my current mood is happy, for sure, hehehe~

me and my heart, we got ISSUES
Gosh... i wish i knew this song earlier then it would be soundtrack of the moment at that time, hahaha
enjoy. this is a good song tho :) oh and please dont get bored if i keep posting videos, songs, or lyrics... these songs i posted really described what i felt and i cant help myself, hehehe~ it's one kinda un-boring replacement of my writings rite, i know that my writings could be very boring and confusing sometimes (or maybe all the time? teehee~)
THE SATURDAYS - ISSUES
Vanessa:
Oooh, yeah,
Sometimes I feel like I'm going out of my mind,
Boy the way you do me is a damn crime,
But then you smile at me and it's alright,
With you there ain't any in between...
Every time that I walk out the door
I tell myself I can't take it no more
There's a part of me won't let you go
I keep saying yes when my minds' saying' no...
Chorus:
Me and my heart we got issues (issues)
Don't know if I should hate you or miss you
Damn I wish that I could resist you
Can't decide if I should leave you or kiss you,
Me and my heart we got issues, issues, issues
We got issues, issues, issues.
Rochelle:
It's so hard; boy you leave me hangin' for so long
You empty out my love until it's all gone
You change the words but still it's the same song
I'm tired of the melody
Vanessa:
Change my number and throw out your clothes
But my feelings for you, it still show
I keep building a wall round my heart
But then I see you it all falls apart...
Chorus:
Me and my heart we got issues (issues)
Don't know if I should hate you or miss you
Damn I wish that I could resist you (damn I wish)
Can't decide if I should leave you or kiss you, (can't decide)
Me and my heart we got issues, issues, issues (Me and my heart)
We got issues, issues, issues.
Una (and Mollie):
Why fight it, (why fight it)
Can't hide it (can't hide it)
Truth is I think I like it
Confusion, illusions (confusion, illusions)
Still I don't know which way to go,
Vanessa:
Me and my heart we got issues
Don't know if I should hate you or miss you
The Saturdays:
Damn I wish that I could resist you
Can't decide if I should leave you or kiss you,
Me and my heart we got issues, issues, issues (Me and my heart)
Don't know if I should hate you or miss you (We got to work this thing out)
Damn I wish that I could resist you (I don't know)
Can't decide if I should leave you or kiss you, (can't decide if I )
Me and my heart we got issues, issues, issues (issues)
We got issues, issues, issues.
We got issues, issues, issues (me and my heart)
We got issues, issues, issues
Me and my heart we got issues, issues, issues (we got to which way to go)
Don't know if I should hate you or miss you (I don't know)
